Spring Break 2008

On the beautiful island of Antigua- really great beaches, best sand by far! PS- rich got fried on the trip, poor guy. Most of it my fault because I missed some big patches of skin with the sunscreen. I was just too distracted! So if he looks a little patchy in some of the picts that's why!

Another reason I haven't posted in forever is because Richard and I and the Johnson's and Frandsen's (four of our best friends here in Columbus and Spencer and Ben are in Richard's dental class) decided to go on a cruise to celebrate their graduation from Dental School. I know this was a bit premature- seeing how they haven't graduated yet and still need to take boards, but with everyone moving on to specialty schools, military service, etc literally right after we graduate we decided it was now or never! This was a trip with no kids allowed, so my sister Melissa who lives in Boston was kind enough to agree to watch Avery for me. Between taking Avery to Boston a few days early to get her settled and then staying a few days after the cruise we were at Melissa and James' house for nearly two weeks! We owe you guys so big! Thank you so much for putting up with us that long!

We went on a Southern Carribean cruise with Carnival. It sailed the 9th of March to the 16th from Puerto Rico and we had 7 ports on beautiful tropical islands- it was heaven! I have to admitt I really did have a hard time leaving Avery, the first few days especially! Just never having left her before it was really hard for me to be without her! She apparently did fine and hardly even acted like she missed me when I got back! Melissa said she was super sweet and her and her little 6 month old cousin Louis loved eachother.

I will post more pictures in a moment, I just want to try to post them in a big grouping, day by day so I don't bore you all with the details! But it was such a fun trip and so good for Rich and I to get away without Avery and just have time to relax and do things you can't do with kids! So sad to think I've been back for a week already! I really can't wait for spring now!
