Ok, so I am finally posting something on here, too much peer pressure! Geesh. We have had a C-R-A-Z-Y two months. Between selling the house, driving 2 1/2 days to Idaho, spending a month long vacation with Richard's family, then Richard leaving for 5 weeks to Alabama for AF officer training, me going to Logan, UT for 4 weeks, meeting up in Boise, driving to Alaska for 6 days, now staying with my parents for 2 weeks until we can FINALLY move into our apt. next Wed. Man, that made me tired just typing it all out! Avery, you all might be wondering, is adjusting quite well to all the maddness. Still a little sassafras, but that's to be expected. She loved all of her older cousins, not the younger ones very much. She really loved being in Logan at my sister's house. She has two little boys, one Avery's age and one that is 4, Ty and Dane. She thought they were great and learned many things from them, some of them annoying, but the best is how to pee pee in the potty. She isn't fully potty trained yet, waiting, of course, until next Wed when we will be settled and have somewhat of a schedule again, but she tells me quite often when she needs to go and we rush off to the potty.
So, like I said, right now we are at my parents house, waiting for next week when all of our stuff that was shipped off the end of April will be delivered and we can all get settled into life in Alaska- which is quite different from what my childhood memories were like I might add. Richard started his residency last week and is loving it so far. It is a brand new program here in Anchorage and has totally new top of the line equipment and modern facilities, and for you fellow dental wives you know how much these guys appreciate new equipment! So he is in heaven, and we even got to go fishing already, we've been here a little over a week and already spent two of those days fishing- we caught salmon- pinks and silvers, halibut, shrimp, link cod and a 4 ft shark! You can imagine how happy Richard is to be here, I only hope I can feel the same sometime soon! I am really starting to miss Ohio and all our friends there and the ward and everything. I think it's that I was on a kind of vacation for so long that it is all sinking in now that we are here, that this is permanent and we are not moving back to Ohio anytime soon! So sad, but I'm sure once I get settled and into a routine here, things will start to feel more like home.
Sorry to picts to post, I'll post a ton when I get my computer unpacked. Hope everyone is doing well! Churarroo!

It is good to hear from you guys. It sounds like you are in the same situation we are. The boys really love where we are with the fishing and mountains stuff I am well... adjusting. I hope you feel at home soon. I am up for a run anytime you are.
Miss Ya
Karen
Oh Lori, I am also missing Ohio. I hope you start loving Alaska. It may take a while but it will happen. I have been in Missouri for about 2 1/2 months and I am staring to think it is alright. I miss you three.
Love,
Michelle
Lori, it's great to hear from you! I'm glad you were able to see so much family the past two months as you gradually made your way to Alaska. Sounds like Richard is loving things now. I hope you can adjust soon and that you really will enjoy it there. Good luck getting settled. Can't wait for more pics!!
I hear ya Lori! We seriously have to talk. Sounds like we're going through the same emotions. I'm thinking of you. I'll try to call soon.
I'm sure it'll be nice to get settled again, but it's always hard to move. I haven't done it often, but I had a hard time leaving Laramie, and after being here for almost 4 years, I know I would cry for days if we left. But life goes on, we make new friends, and things can be great wherever we live!
Lori we miss you guys here but I am glad that everything is going well for you. Let us know if you have any suggestions for us next year!
Lori I miss you. I just finished knitting the pink hat I started working on with you. I am ready to move on to a new a project, but I feel a little lost without your guidance :) Things sound very busy for you. Best of luck with moving in.
I hope you start feeling comfortable. I hate moving!! it is the worst! being a mom and finding kids for your children to have playdates with is the hardest, because you have to find a mom that you like as well. I am sure you will fit in just great. What not to like about you??
Hi Lori, I'm stalking you! (Alaska is still on the top of Kimball's list!) Just wonder how you feel about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin? Exciting, isn't it! I can't wait to see pictures of your new place! Good Luck with everything!
Bonnie
