Avery, the Diva

Yes, the sucker is starting to work!

Oh, no, she changed her mind, still ticked!

She LOVES her daddy! And he is such a good dad too, so sweet with her, I just love to watch them interact.

So, I told you all to be on the look out for when I took Avery's 18 month pictures that there would be some sassy ones. That was an understatement! On Saturday, my photography partner Melanie was kind enough to come with Richard, Avery and I to take some family pictures for our Christmas cards, etc. I had everything planned out and was planning on things going perfectly- we take pictures all the time, what's the big deal, it will be quick, easy, no biggie. Wrong! The minute we start Avery out of nowhere starts throwing the biggest temper tantrum! She would not let me hold her, then she didn't want Richard to hold her, then niether one of us could touch her or tell her to do anything. This was a serious, full on fit. So we sang some of her favorite songs, Elmo's world, skinnamarink, ABC's and she calmed down a tiny bit, but would not even crack a smile, just stared at the camera. After a few minutes of that, she started screaming again. That's when I resorted to an lollipop I found in my diaper bag. This is an extremely RARE treat for her, Richard carefully monitors her sugar intake, he is convinced she will get diabetes if she touches the stuff! So I thought this sucker would do the trick. As you can see in the two picts I posted, not quite! She was just in a bad mood and wanted the world to know. Talented that she can suck on a sucker while still screaming bloody murder! So we'll have to try these again another day, I need some cute 18 month picts and while these are how I will remember the last month or so, she is so cute when she's happy and I'd really rather remember those days! Oh well, she's sassy.

What gorgeous pictures! I am not looking forward to the age of tantrums, but I guess it comes with the territory. Avery still is a doll...fit or not!

Hey Lori! I have been enjoying your awesome photography lately of the Clarkes, Taylors and Teeples. Wow, I never knew you were so talented (and man, do I wish we were back in Ohio so you could snap a few shots for us...). Awesome blog, Avery is adorable. Kids never cooperate when you want them to, although I'm surprised the sucker didn't work...she must have been in a bad mood!

Love the blog, welcome the blogger world. If you'd like an invite to mine, send me an email at espyk@yahoo.com and I'll send you an invite.

Hey, Lori! Macy has a sucker in her hand in her 18 month pictures as well, so don't worry! You are not alone! The pictures of Avery are still gorgeous! She is getting so big! I love her boots and the big flower in her hair! She looks like a doll! That is such great news that you guys are moving to Alaska! Could this be permanent? I bet you are so excited to be by family! We would love to visit! Yes, and call me! I'd love to talk to you!

I don't know, sometimes it is screwy. Just try to upload it again and see if it will work out.
